Electrical Impedance Tomography (EIT) is a non-invasive imaging method based upon the properties of bio-impedance. A small current is applied to a region of the body inducing changes in voltage at the cellular level due to the opening of ion channels. These changes in voltages can be recorded by our electrodes. Combining the input current at the specific frequencies we choose and the corresponding output voltages, impedance can be calculated. Having applied our signal reconstruction algorithms and machine learning method, an image of that region can be constructed and visualised in real-time.
